topics.
- Discontinue working with the infected system, and don't let others

- Switch off the infected computer as usual. Do not just pull power
cord off. Invite any knowledgeable person to examine the system.
- If you are on a network, check other computers for the spread
of the virus.
- If all machines can not be checked, you may as well assume they
are infected, and accordingly go for an anti-viral solution for
the whole network.
- If there are still uninfected systems in the locality, don't use
floppy disks on them [except known clean write-protected DOS boot
floppies]
- DO NOT trade discs with other users of other systems till you
are sure the threat has been eliminated.
- For Novell networks, log off all the machines unless your administrator
tells you otherwise. Contact any one responsible for the upkeep
of the network. Discontinue using the system.
- Do not exchange any kind of files between network machines untill
a green signal is given.
- Inform all the users of a network and others in the workplace
of the virus.
- If you are using floppies, all discs would need to be checked,
including the write protected ones
- Run
any latest and reliable anti-virus software if you are sure you
can handle the virus threat.
